VEF Culture Palace is among the most interesting venues in uptown Riga. The building was constructed in 1960 and since then it has served as a venue for various cultural events – international meetings, congresses and art exhibitions, as well as performances of well-known foreign artists and local theatre companies. Various events are presented here also today. Renovated in 2017.

Your special event will unfold magically beneath ultra-high ceilings with one of the most technologically advanced audio-visual systems, lighting, and sophisticated staging capabilities of its kind in Jūrmala. Room seating and tables will be set according to your request. Round tables of ten guests are recommended for meal functions unless otherwise requested by the host.

It is possible to simultaneously accommodate 700 guests in the Grand Hall (seats are available in parterre, side galleries and balcony). Chairs are movable and therefore they could be arranged individually according to the needs and wishes of the event planner.

On the level 1 of the National Library of Latvia is located Ziedonis Hall with minimal number of 357 and maximal number of 462 seats. The hall has an excellent acoustics, and is recognized as perfectly suitable for chamber music, choral music and acoustic music sounds. The hall has the natural daylight that gets into the hall through the glass top directly above the stage.
