LETTLAND. Schlösser und Herrenhäuser. Die in verschieden Jahrhunderten gebauten Schlösser und Landgüter in Lettland sind einzigartig und erzählen von der Geschichte und der Architektur des Landes. Jedes davon hat seinen eigenen kulturhistorischen Nachlass.

Schloss Bīriņi. Auf Geschichte trifft man hier auf Schritt und Tritt, eine Erzählung geht in die andere über und ein Zeugnis folgt auf das andere. Interessenten haben die Möglichkeit, Zeugnisse der Geschichte von Schloss Bīriņi sowohl in der Natur, als auch in Ausstellungen kennzulernen.

Das Landgut Liepupe – auserlesene Hotelzimmer im Barock-Stil. Bei den Spa-Behandlungen wird das Beste in der Welt mit dem Reichtum aus der Natur Lettlands zusammengesetzt. Im Restaurant werden Speisen für Feinschmecker angeboten.

Schloss Dikļi wurde 1896 im Neubarock erbaut und 2003 erneuert. Der zweite wesentliche Bestandteil des Landguts Dikļi ist die Scheune, die älter als das Schloss ist und Ende des 18. Jh. in Form des Spätklassizismus, mit einer für die Scheunen von Vidzeme nicht charakteristischen majestätischen Säulenhalle errichtet wurde.

Tag 2:AUSFLUG IN SIGULDA und SCHLOSS BĪRIŅI

After breakfast check out from Mālpils Manor. Transfer to Sigulda (0,5h). Excursion in Turaida Museum reserve (2h) – Is a heritage site. The 42 hectares of grounds are replete with archaeological, architectural, historical and art monuments, all of which provide an account of the events from the eleventh century onwards. Krimulda winery – wine tasting for gourmets we offer the opportunity to meet the home wine making process and also to taste the home wine, which is prepared by using different berries and recipes. The real taste of wine best appears enjoying with listening to the stories. Transfer to Bīrini manor(0,5h). Birini manor- every step on Birini Manor tells stories which follow and cover each other. The historic evidence can be found everywhere in the Castle and its surroundings. Check in Luxury Castle Suite room -A splendid, spacious suite in the Castle. After breakfast transfer to Veczemju cliffs (1h). Veczemju cliffs (1h) -this is the most impressive and colourful set of cliffs along the Vidzeme coastline. Waves have created the steep shore that is as much as 6 m high, with several hundred meters of red sandstone cliffs with narrow caves, niches, grottos and other formations. Transfer to Liepupe Manor (0,5h)-the 18th century Liepupe Manor even has its own herb garden where the chef sources ingredients for his tasty creations.
