Fabulous trip with Janis, would 100% recommend. We had a really amazing husky sledding trip today. Janis was great at communicating and made it very easy to book. He picked us up at our hotel and drove us out into the countryside. On the way we chatted and learnt lots about the region which was so interesting for us. On arrival we met 19 huskies and had lots of time to greet them. Obviously very happy and healthy dogs, all with different personalities but all very sociable. Nikolai gave us instructions on how to work the sled and we set off. He accompanied us on another sled to ensure we were ok and he helped us change over half way round. We were the first ride of the day and the dogs were super enthusiastic. The rude was 4km which is longer than others we read about. On our return we had lots of time with the gorgeous dogs and Janis also kindly gave us mulled wine and tea and some special Latvian celebration cakes which were delicious!
On the wY home Janis took us to a beautiful village in the countryside and to see a ferry that crosses a river, we then visited dome very interesting caves and stopped by a beautiful boutique local wine and produce store. Where we had dome tastings and bought dome gifts. On the way back to Riga Janis was so interesting and we learnt much more about the culture of Latvia. As extra special surprise was the amazing video Janis sent us of our time with the huskies!
We have travelled all over the world and this is one of our favourite trips ever.

Incredible experience. Jans was a brilliant guide. Lots of information given on the journey to meet the dogs. Very friendly and approachable guy. Took us for a small walk through the forest and up a tower for a wonderful view after the experience.
The dog experience itself was lovely. Even though we didn’t have snow, it didnt make it any less enjoyable. Lots of time meeting the dogs and the folks who run the experience were excellent. Lots of information regarding the pups. The dogs are clearly very loved and well looked after and happy. They were adorable!!!
